Introduction
I usually give separate book reviews but some Coho books didn’t give such vibes and I don’t have much to write about it. So, I am reviewing 4 books together. Sorry Coho!
November 9 – Book Review
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐
Romance: ⭐⭐⭐
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist. Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?
Some of the romance talks are good but I mostly didn’t like it because of the plot twist. Ben was manipulative and he was trying to see the scars from first when he is the reason she got that!!. The whole alpha male vibes that Ben was giving from the start like trying to swoop in to save her from her father to using her in the name of Novel was a big NO!. The only thing that kept me reading was some occasional love language that he uses like this –
Never Never – Book Review
Overall: ⭐
Romance: ⭐
Never stop…Never forget…Just remember. Charlie Wynwood and Silas Nash have been best friends since they could walk. They’ve been in love since the age of fourteen. But as of this morning…they are complete strangers. Their first kiss, their first fight, the moment they fell in love…every memory has vanished. Now Charlie and Silas must work together to uncover the truth about what happened to them and why. But the more they learn about the couple they used to be…the more they question why they were ever together to begin with. Forgetting is terrifying, but remembering may be worse.
I really don’t know why the hell I picked up this book. There is no logical conclusion for this story. Plot was good and I really hope they could have return better. I feel that the title was rather a warning that we should NEVER EVER PICK THIS DAMN BOOK!. Honestly very disappointed to even write a review..
Reminders of him – Book Review
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A troubled young mother yearns for a shot at redemption in this heartbreaking yet hopeful story from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover. After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself. The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them. The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.
Heart felt drama. It gives good summer vibes book. Her trying to mend the relationship with her daughter and having parallel romance of her own much less with her ex best friend and might I remind the ex she unintentionally was the reason of death is kind of twisted and good to read at the same time. Undoubtedly only coho can write such story lines and make feel readers okay with it.
Regretting you – Book Review
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐
Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike. Morgan is determined to prevent her daughter from making the same mistakes she did. By getting pregnant and married way too young, Morgan put her own dreams on hold. Clara doesn’t want to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Her predictable mother doesn’t have a spontaneous bone in her body. With warring personalities and conflicting goals, Morgan and Clara find it increasingly difficult to coexist. The only person who can bring peace to the household is Chris—Morgan’s husband, Clara’s father, and the family anchor. But that peace is shattered when Chris is involved in a tragic and questionable accident. The heartbreaking and long-lasting consequences will reach far beyond just Morgan and Clara. While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she expects to, and Clara turns to the one boy she’s been forbidden to see. With each passing day, new secrets, resentment, and misunderstandings make mother and daughter fall further apart. So far apart, it might be impossible for them to ever fall back together.
I have mixed feelings after reading this book. It revolves around four characters with cross relationships. Its doomed and really dramatic!!. Indians could relate it to Ekta Kapoor serials 🙁 . the relationship between mom and daughter is the only good thing that’s worth reading. I had higher expectations on this book. Even the main leads didn’t get proper closure as Morgan burns the letter or I wonder if Coho didn’t know how she should justify that…
