He’d never wanted anyone enough to chase them…until he met her.Charming, easygoing, and rich beyond belief, Xavier Castillo has the world at his fingertips. He also has no interest in taking over his family’s empire (much to his father’s chagrin), but that hasn’t stopped women from throwing themselves at him…unless the woman in question is his publicist. Nothing brings him more joy than riling her up, but when a tragedy forces them closer than ever, he must grapple with the uncertainty of his future—and the realization that the only person immune to his charms is the only one he truly wants.

Cool, intelligent, and ambitious, Sloane Kensington is a high-powered publicist who’s used to dealing with difficult clients. However, none infuriate—or tempt—her more than a certain billionaire heir, with his stupid dimples and laid-back attitude. She may be forced to work with him, but she’ll never fall for him…no matter how fast he makes her heart beat or how thoughtful he is beneath his party persona. He’s her client, and that’s all he’ll ever be. Right?

~”You don’t want to kiss me right now. I’m a mess”. Swollen eyes, red nose, mascara tracks running down my face and hair matter with sweat. Not exactly kissing material.

~ Xavier framed my face with his hands, stilling me. “I always want to kiss you, you’re perfect exactly the way you are, Luna”
Review
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Story/Plot : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Romance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: ⭐⭐
I was skeptical about reading this book after seeing the reviews. But I enjoyed reading it. The book is light with mild romance and good family plot. Its like a love letter to rom-coms.
First half of the book is slow paced and really doesn’t give the main lead vibe we except from Ana writings. But that’s how the character should be as the title suggests King of “Sloth”. In the first half, there is tension among the main leads that they cover using banter, which I really enjoyed while reading. The story takes serious turn in the mid which makes Xavier to be responsible. I enjoyed the cross-over of twisted series characters.
The second half of the book mostly involves around family drama of both main leads which brings them together for each others support. And that’s how they realize they have been perfect for each other all along. The love story takes turn at the climax of the book leaving readers really hooked up but everyone know that Ana’s books have happy endings. Its the way the couple go through difficult situations together and never give-up on each other till end makes book seem like its straight form some classic rom-com movie. But as she said who doesn’t like unrealistic happy endings?
Some of my favorite lines form the book are:
Luna is short for mi Luna, my moon. Because no matter how the nights got, you were always there, shining tooo brightly that I always found my way through.
~Xavier Castillo
You can try to hide it but its too late. I’ve seen the real you, with all its perfect and broken pieces, and I love every single one of them.
~Xavier Castillo
I’ve been falling in love with you day by day for years, and I didn’t even know it
