The Fine Print – Blurb
Rowan
I’m in the business of creating fairy tales.
Theme parks. Production companies. Five-star hotels.
Everything could be all mine if I renovated Dreamland.
My initial idea of hiring Zahra was good in theory, but then I kissed her.
Things spiraled out of control once I texted her using an alias.
By the time I realized where I went wrong, it was too late.
People like me don’t get happy endings.
Not when we’re destined to ruin them.
Zahra
After submitting a drunk proposal criticizing Dreamland’s most expensive ride, I should have been fired.
Instead, Rowan Kane offered me a dream job.
The catch? I had to work for the most difficult boss I’d ever met.
Rowan was rude and completely off-limits, but my heart didn’t care.
At least not until I discovered his secret.
It was time to teach the billionaire that money couldn’t fix everything.
Especially not us.

The Fine Print-Review
Overall: ⭐⭐
The fine print is a billionaire romance. The story plot is boring with a rich guy male lead having mommy issues and poor female lead having trust issues. The will from the grand father to built the Dreamland kind of gave vibes of King of Sloth by Ana Huang. The both leads chemistry didn’t work well for me. They were instantly attracted with no reason and immediately he loses his control around her. Knowing her past and her trust issues, Rowan lied, manipulated and made her feel guilty constantly and I feel Zahra forgives him easily. And the way he articulates his thoughts is poorly written and it didn’t exactly give main lead vibes. The spice and dirty talk is the only good thing in this book. Even his first confession was random string of words that hurt Zahra.
I’m not supposed to be attracted to an insufferable female who drives me to brink of insanity yet here we are. You represent everything I dislike in someone.

Like come on , a man with dignity will never speak like that much less to his girl!!!
Story/Plot : ⭐⭐⭐
Billionaire grand father who dies and makes his grandsons work to get their share attracted me first. I wanted to see how the leads work together to fulfill the demands. What I didn’t expect was Rowan using Zahra for her creativity to get the work done fast initially. After that he uses an alias to get his work done. Although I enjoyed some of the banter they shared when Rowan was Scott, it did eventually hurt her. While she was in the process of trusting him again she knows another secret. With her suffering who would want to trust someone again ever?
Zahra: May be I should play hard to get.
Scott: Go ahead. I suffer from a nasty competitive streak. But rest assured, I win every time.
Romance: ⭐⭐
The chemistry didn’t chemistry as I expected. I mean sometimes Zahra just embarrasses herself a lot-who talks to random stranger about her learning ukulele to impress her parents, just coz he helped once. Few conversations they had with Scott was good like when they were talking about pride and prejudice movie. I hated the double game of Rowan and Scott though. The relation of Rowan with her sister was something I enjoyed. Her constant cajole and his constant denial about being something more than casual bored me at some point. All I could say is he didn’t man up enough. Period.
Zahra: You care more than you’re letting on.
Rowan: Don’t go wishing for things that cant happen
Zahra: That’s okay. Ill dream big enough for the two of of us.
Ik…it sounds poetic, romantic and as a romance book reader I should be simping over this but come on he is clearly saying Don’t and her wishing either way and getting hurt is a big no for me! . Here is another such idiocy..
Rowan: I dont know the first thing about being human.
Zahra: Thats okay. Ill teach you everything I know.
Rowan: Thats what Im afraid of.
Spice: ⭐⭐⭐
Snippet for my fellow book lovers!
Some of my favorite lines form the book are:
If apologizing was easy, everyone would do it.
~ Zahra Gulian
You reminded me of what it was like to feel to not feel so damn lonely all the time, and I didn’t want to lose that.
~ Rowan Kane
Rowan: While I’m sorry he hurt you, I’m not sorry he let you go.
Zahra: Are you always so selfish?
Rowan: With you, yes
You are many amazing things , and pathetic isn’t one of them.

She gave me a second chance at life, and I plan on making the most of it with her for the rest of my days.
